Northern NSW : Winter 2014 redo
Triple Zero Ball Emergency crews were burning the dance floor at the Triple Zero Ball held in November 2013. The night, hosted at the Inverell RSL, was attended by Inverell’s Police, Ambulance and Fire Fighting emergency teams and their guests who raised more than $4,500 for the Rescue Helicopter. Luck of the Irish St. Huberts Island Residents Association donned green to hold their Annual St Patricks Day Fundraiser. The event raised more than $2,800 for the Service. Special mentions to event organiser, Neville Smith, and the St. Huberts Island Residents Association. A Day on the Green Help Us Save Babies Charity Golf Day saw 180 golfers gather at Pacific Dunes Golf Course on Friday 7 March 2014. Journalist and presenter, Kerri- Anne Kennerley picked up a club and a microphone to offer her support for the Service. The day raised $40,000 for the Service and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the John Hunter Hospital. What began as a simple idea to combine a challenge, a love of the outdoors and a strong community spirit has grown into a highly anticipated annual event that has raised close to $200,000. On 29 March this year, more than 30 people undertook the seven hour walk. Karen and Scott are franchisees of Caltex Maryland and this year engaged Caltex Australia as part of its community initiatives. As a result 13 local Caltex franchises have offered their support through sponsorship, advertising and raffles. Special thanks to the business community for its support, specifically, John Warren Transport, Border Collie Express, Hurricane Logistics, Orica, Josh Killen Photography and Birubi Beach Holiday Park.
