Northern NSW : Winter 2014 redo
Steve McNab suffered a number of severe injuries after he became pinned in a longwall accident at Beltana Highwall Mining in April 2010. Steve and his wife, Belinda, tell the story of his accident and the part the Service played in his survival in a powerful video produced by Concept Creative Communications. This video, along with a number of others can be viewed on our official YouTube channel. Steve McNab Since 2010 Maddison Safety has been running a fundraising initiative aimed at protecting workers eyes whilst raising funds and awareness for the Service. Over the past five years it has raised more than $75,000 by donating $1 from each pair of its Tsunami Safety Spectacles sold. The Rescue Helicopter branded safety specs have been hugely popular with the Hunter-based business expanding its customer base across Australia and exporting to Russia. Maddison Safety is a leading supplier and manufacturer of personal protection equipment (PPE) and mining safety products to the mining and industrial sectors. Eyes in the sky Over the next two months, the donations made by purchasing Tsunami Safety Spectables from Maddison Safety will be directed to the families of the recent coal mining tragedy in the Hunter Valley. 7 Rescue Magazine WINTER 2014
