Our work for our community Spring Missions Our work in the community extends from the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast regions to the New England and North West region. In the past three months, the Service had been called out to more than 59 primary motor vehicle accidents, 70 secondary inter hospital transfers and two search and rescue missions. 1 Winched a Paramedic off a cliff face at Point Plummer to rescue a 66 year old male who had fallen down the cliff. The hiker was carried to the top of the cliff by SES personnel and then flown to Port Macquarie. (6/8/12) 2 Transported a 28 year old male from Coffs Harbour Hospital to John Hunter Hospital suffering a head injury sustained in a high speed MVA. (2/9/12) 3 NETS transfer of a new born baby boy from Tamworth Base Hospital to John Hunter Hospital suffering breathing complications. (4/9/12) 4 Transported a 14 year old boy from Port Macquarie Hospital to John Hunter Hospital suffering pneumonia. (7/9/12) 5 Called to Watagan State Forest to retrieve a 52 year old male who had been injured in a dirt bike accident. Patient was winched on board and transported to Royal North Shore Hospital suffering suspected spinal injuries. (8/9/12) 6 A 55 year old male was transferred from Inverell to Tamworth suffering respiratory complications. (25/9/12) 7 Called out to a MVA west of Gunnedah to transport a 72-year-old woman to Tamworth Base Hospital with severe neck, back and lower-leg injuries after her car veered off the road and rolled into a gully. (26/9/12) 8 A 62 year old male was transported from Wyee to John Hunter Hospital suffering a broken leg sustained when he fell from a roof.
