Northern NSW : Winter 2012 redo
Driving for charity Food, footy and fundraising If you're in Muswellbrook this winter, drop into the Railway Hotel for the Sunday NRL and a home-made hot stew in support of the chopper. The camp oven lunch fundraiser is back by popular demand and all proceeds will go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Last year, the hotel raised almost $1200 from donations. For a group of 82 Hunter business women, golf was the inconsequential part of the Chicks with Sticks Charity Golf Day. Raising money for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service was the important 'driver'. Forsythes Operations Manger, Michelle Faithfull, and her colleagues held the second annual charity event at Merewether Golf Course on Friday 18 May raising money and awareness of two great Hunter based community organisations. One of the teams in the Chicks with Sticks event looked surprisingly like crewmen, Glen Ramplin, Heath Atland and Michael Legge. Putting blind. . . for charity.
