Northern NSW : Winter 2012 redo
Our work for our community Autumn Missions Over the past three months, the Service has been called out to 65 accidents, 45 inter hospital transfers and three search and rescues across the Hunter, Mid North Coast and Central Coast regions. In the same period pilots, crew and medical staff in the New England - North West region attended three search and rescue missions, 31 accidents and 36 transfers between hospitals. 1 Transferred a newborn baby suffering haemothorax from Nambucca Heads (1/3/12) between hospitals. 2 Transported a 25 year old female from Muswellbrook to John Hunter Hospital suffering a fractured jaw and head injuries sustained in a horse riding accident. (6/3/12) 3 Tasked to search for two missing persons in the Watagans who had left a campsite on bushwalking expedition. Persons were found and aircraft returned them to base. (19/3/12) 4 Evacuated a seaman with a crushed finger from the MV Kachidoki anchored off Bateau Bay and flew the 48 year old to John Hunter hospital. (20/3/12) 5 Two motor cross riders were flown to Tamworth Hospital after an accident at the motor cross circuit near Quirindi. (25/3/12) 6 Flew medical team to Wee Waa Hospital to treat a 34 year old female who suffered severe head and neck injuries while working in a stock yard around horses.
