Northern NSW : Winter 2012 redo
On a night like this Rescue Helicopter and Hawthorne Club kick off season Central Coast mum, Danielle Elbealy, told a room of more than 320 people how the life of her new born baby boy was saved because of the timely work of Rescue Helicopter and medical staff. She is one of more than 1,200 people and their families who will be helped by the Service this year. Danielle was the special guest speaker at the Central Coast Charity Ball held at Crowne Plaza Terrigal in March. She spoke of how, at just 22 days old, Flinn had a rash and breathing difficulties and was flown to Westmead Children's Hospital where he made an excellent recovery. Joining her on stage was celebrity comedian, Arj Barker, and renowned band Jellybean Jam with the evening raising $45,000 for the Service. Community Liaison Officer on the Central Coast, Shannon O'Hagan, said that Danielle's heartfelt story about Flinn was a reminder of the vital importance of a dedicated Rescue Helicopter. The event's success was enhanced with the support of major sponsors APEX, Bishop Collins and BJ Howes Metaland.
