Northern NSW : Rescue Winter 2016
A special month-long exhibition to help celebrate the Service’s 40th anniversary year opened at the Newcastle Museum in June. The informative display featured memorabilia, keepsakes and photographs of major events during the past four decades. It also included original uniforms, historic videos of the helicopters in action, and showed how the Service works as part of the state’s emergency care chain. Free to all visitors, the event was made possible due to the generosity of Newcastle City Council, the team at Newcastle Museum and many long term sponsors and partners. These included Westpac, Big Colour Visual, Hexham Bowling Club, peoplefusion, Passionate People Institute, Purser Corporate Communication, Scott Webster, Slattery Auctions, Taggart Business Advisors. Support was also received from many of the region’s media organisations including the Newcastle Herald, InTouch and The Newcastle Weekly, as well as Newcastle Men’s Shed, Colourpac, the Miners’ Band and many well known photographers.
