Task snapshot IN the past three months the Service has been called to assist: 180 TOTAL MISSIONS 100 PRIMARY MISSIONS/ MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS 76 SECONDARY /INTER-HOSPITAL TRANSFERS 4 SEARCH AND RESCUE 2/8/2015 A 21 year old male patient flown from Gosford Hospital to Royal North Shore Hospital suffering from a cerebral bleed. 2/8/2015 Transported new-born with fluid on brain from Coffs Harbour to John Hunter Hospital. 6/8/2015 Transport new-born baby to Westmead Children's Hospital. 8/8/2015 Tasked to Nabiac where a car had impacted a tree on the Pacific Highway. The male driver was trapped for some time. When released he was flown with the female passenger to John Hunter Hospital with multiple fractures and head injuries. 14/8/2015 A 20 year old male from Armidale transported to John Hunter Hospital with serious head injuries after a motorbike accident involving a kangaroo. 15/8/2015 A 63 year old male patient who had fallen from a ladder at a remote property in the Pokolbin State Forrest sustained a spinal injury. Patient was retrieved by hoist and flown to the John Hunter Hospital. 17/8/2015 Tasked to a high-speed roll-over near Willow Tree where an 11 month old boy was transported to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition. 26/8/2015 Tasked to person who had fallen six metres off a roof at Laguna. Transported 23 year old male with back and pelvic pain to the John Hunter Hospital. 27/8/2015 Called to 61 year old male injured by bobcat bucket that had detached from its operating arm at Clarence Town. Transported patient with head injuries and punctured lung to John Hunter Hospital. 28/8/2015 Secondary transfer of 14 month old baby from Warialda to Tamworth Base Hospital suffering respiratory problems. 30/8/2015 A 16 year old who had suffered a head injury while practising in a Surf Life Saving IRB at Lakes Beach, was flown to the John Hunter Hospital. 2/9/2015 A 14 year old female transported from Mungindi Hospital to Tamworth Base Hospital suffering a medical problem with kidney transplant. 7/9/2015 A 32 year old male patient winched out of the bush at Bobs Farm and flown to the John Hunter Hospital after he had been crushed by a quad bike. Mission initially delayed by fog but after sunrise the helicopter was able to access the scene and retrieve the patient by hoist from an inaccessible location in bushland. 10/9/2015 Called to a home at Largs where an eight year old girl was in cardiac arrest after being found in a bathtub. She was intubated on scene then flown to John Hunter Hospital with mum accompanying her. 20/9/2015 A 27 year old male post-operative from a rugby incident with quadriplegia was transferred from the John Hunter Hospital to Royal North Shore Hospital. 21/9/2015 Called to an 88 year old male injured by a cow at Limeburners Creek. Landed at scene and treated patients for blood loss and leg injuries before transporting to John Hunter Hospital. 23/9/2015 A 13 year old boy with burns was flown from a property at Hambleton Hill to Westmead Children's Hospital. 27/9/2015 A 24 year old male with abdominal, pelvic and head injuries following a mountain bike accident near Rossgole. Met ambulance at Muswellbrook and flown to John Hunter Hospital. 4/10/2015 A 27 year old male injured during the Bridge to Bridge water ski race transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane suffering spinal, chest and pelvic injuries. 4/10/2015 Secondary transfer of 12 year old boy suffering head injuries after a bicycle accident. The patient was transported from Armidale Hospital to John Hunter Hospital. 7/10/2015 Westpac 4 tasked to a climber in the Warrumbungle National Park near Coonabarabran where a 58 year old male fell 15 metres down a cliff face. The Tamworth medical team were hovered in on a nearby rock face and were able to treat the patient whilst awaiting the arrival of Westpac 1 to extract the patient by winch.
