Since that time the Service has become an integral part of the regional communities of the Hunter, Central Coast, Mid North Coast, New England and North West. What began as a Service created by the community for the community now undertakes 1000 missions each year in an area that includes about 1million people. In 2015 the support of the community remains at the heart of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. No one has ever paid to be assisted by the Service. That is because this community provides the funds that ensure the Westpac Rescue Helicopters are there when and where they are needed. As we celebrate 40 years of service please consider the ways you can make a difference in our community by: • Making a donation • Becoming a volunteer • Leaving a bequest • Giving a few dollars from your pay each week • Attending Cash Housie or one of our exciting events • Sharing your own story of how the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service impacted your life • Becoming a sponsor Celebrating 40 years in our community Thank you
