The calendar vividly illustrates the vital role the Rescue Helicopter plays in our community. 12 unique pictures depict the Rescue Helicopters at different moments in the Service’s history and help to tell the story of where the Service has come from since 1975. The calendar is available for sale at the Newcastle Helicopter Base for $10 or $12 online (inc postage) at www.rescuehelicopter.com.au . A Moment in History Steggles has been a sponsor of the Rescue Helicopter since 2006 with its staff also participating in the Workplace Giving Program. Managing Director of Baiada Poultry (the parent company of Steggles), Simon Camilleri said it was important for his staff to support an organisation dedicated to the local community. ‘ We have a longstanding partnership with the Rescue Helicopter in the Tamworth region, and this now carries through into the Hunter.’ On top of its support through the Workplace Giving Program, Steggles will be the major sponsor of a golf day held at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley early next year to raise more funds for the Rescue Helicopter. Service General Manager, Richard Jones, said that Steggles was a valued partner of the Rescue Helicopter and commended it on an initiative that would further assist community organisations around Australia. Baiada Poultry is a privately owned Australian company which provides premium quality poultry products throughout Australia and acquired Bartter Steggles in July 2009.
